FOUNDATION TEXT: 1 Samuel 17:33
God was preparing David with the lion and bear before going to meet Goliath. Here’s why:
- The bear and lion belong to a group called mammals, and man is also referred to as a mammal. God used the bear and lion to prepare David to meet another lion in the form of Goliath.
- When a lion and a bear must attack you, they put fear in you and that was what Goliath did to David before attacking him.
- The lion and bear belong to a group known as Predators. So David told Goliath he was going to kill him and give him to the carcasses
- A bear is described as being 9 feet tall, and Goliath was also 9 feet tall.
“Go, God be with you” means two things:
- Supernatural advancement: move forward by divine intervention
- With this same divine intervention, move beyond your limitations, your current challenges, and your past problems.
It is only when you move out of your current challenges that you encounter new opportunities.
